“Immaterial studio for making interactive video” is an idea to built an interactive platform to edit online video in real time from various people connected to the internet.
“Immaterial studio for making video” could be also implemented for example, to create an annual online video art festival where group of participates will made one big video in a collaborative way…
People want to take a part at the online festival of video art, must use the interactive platform constituted by an online software to cut, paste, edit, make effects, ( I imagine the software similar both at After Effects and Final Cut but online version ) and upload pieces of movies. Every people or group can do modifications to the precedent version uploaded. So the video ( never finished ) will be always interactive, transforming itself and generating a sort of process that is meant like “Artwork”. Just some questions to formulate a call for paper about how is changed our feeling respect the concept of destiny in the digital era.

Have the internet and psychotechnologies reprogramed or guided the progression of notions of destiny?

Are notions of destiny perceivable as global or vulnerable and uncertain?

Is the destiny that we share without control because is it always changing?

Does the internet transform our psychological processes and perceptions of death?

Have notions of eternity changed because of the social assimilation of the internet and other new technologies?

Does the Internet with its seemingly endless fast paced evolution and variation, provoke feelings of immortality and deification?

Are traditional notions of destiny any more than a source of irony?

Monuments telling stories of digital art…

This idea comes out because I’m working on a similar project: “Art calling digital art stories” http://www.chiarapassa.it/publicart.html This last involves the public phone booths, instead “Monuments telling stories of digital art”, involves the antiques statues telling the contemporary electronic art practices to the public. It’s really simple to realize, it needs to record the audio files and then to put a hidden dvd reader with a speaker close to the statue. Imagine the Bernini’s baroque fountain (“Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi”) in Piazza Navona speaking on software-art…

YAA is the core concept of building a better future for net related arts and all the starving artists in this field.
The traditional art- scene doesn't really wants to recognize the net based - art as an art – phenomenon, maybe because many of the works in this field are not suitable for selling. Therefore many artists depend on funding and stipends. But, who wants to give money to them for things that mostly don't even exist in a physically tangible way? So, what could be a solution? The YAA. Yet Another Agency is a lobbying - fundraising agency for net based arts with strong influence and very important contacts to institutions and politicians all over the world.

Another spatial-temporal paradox: a timeline without time

A dichotomy timeline that doesn’t contain time but it is constituted by fixed instants, in which the movie hangs up into null points.
The film has no time. It is simple a series of smaller events which are organized in a certain way. One could say that all documents are based on an illusion of time.
Based on the states of mind, passing of time could be perceived as more faster "time is flying away", meaning that the duration appears inferior to how much is it in truth; rather happens also to perceive passing of the slower time as "never ending". This conceptual timeline proposes an “ataraxic state of time” between these two points (see image): some bipolarity for the cancellation of time, a dead zone...
The idea is based around an oscillation between two states: one positive and one negative. The juxtaposition of both states generates “zero seconds”. One second is constituted from those oscillations. Those numbers are the bipolar oscillations between the two mentioned states that annul the time in those points.
A searching for an abstraction of time... the time must rest and the artwork can run by itself. A searching for an abstraction of art without time… a searching for an art moment, an abstraction of time…

Re-naming “the artist”!
Why do digital artists still call themselves artists? Why is the name “artist” linked to the practice of being an artist in the information age? Why does "the digital experience" still need to pass through the concept of art to express itself? Perhaps we feel we need to remain tied to a historical, political, social and ethical context; we need to feel that digital art is included in an already existing system in order to believe in ourselves. Why does digital art still need to express itself through the concept of narration? The “digital experience” manifests itself through an electronic medium that is not independent by its own nature; therefore, how much of it is innovative? It seems that sometimes innovation resides mainly in the choice of the medium. Could digital art be considered innovative just because it passes through the medium? Let’s redefine the name "artist" and the concept of “artwork,” updating them to the actual meaning and context. Free the digital artist!

Some innovative and interesting full examples of net artworks-anti art

Remixing codes

Ideaonair is still thinking on the 6 idea. So, proposes to remix the rgb color’s codes that constitute all circles, via algorithm, java script, ascii code, flash action script, etc, to generate a random language via symbols. Or else, proposes to create an essential e-game based on a random language.

28 November 2005

6 idea

"Essential language"

“Essential language” proposes an elementary way to communicate not through the words but through a primordial symbol: the circle, that derives from the point and is its origin. This artistic abstract language modifies itself on the base of different alphabets and is applicable to all idioms. Infact, each letter of the alphabet is identified by means of a circle with a specified color defined by a rgb code. As in real alphabet the different letters are assembled together in order to form the desired word, in the artistic abstract language the different circles are assembled together in concentric circles whose diameter is defined on the base of the length of the chosen word. The assembled circles shall be read from the inside to the outside in a centripetal movement. A sentence will be constituted of more compositions of concentric closer circles, separated by punctuation that is constituted of different colored points.
As an example I want to consider the “essential language” built on the 26 letters of the English alphabet by associating 26 colored circles to the letters.
