imagine a huge flat plasma screen hung on your wall. the screen shows clouds stretched across a landscape.
the clouds are being fed from small generator which plugs into the television. the genertor produces endless variations on natural cloud formations, seemlessly morphing for as long as it remains turned on.

I think that's brilliant! A similar thought experiment — launching virtual balloons and having them float through the world on a digital map.
